We are pleased to announce new Board of Directors leadership

Heaven Can Wait Animal Society is pleased to announce Mark DeBacker as President of its Board of Directors, taking over for outgoing board President Holly Stoberski.

Other newly elected executives on the animal welfare organization’s board include Karen Greene as Vice President and Sarah Morris as Secretary. Kristy O’Bannon remains installed as the organization’s Treasurer.

DeBacker is a seasoned financial industry leader with 28 years of varied experience, spanning large international financial services firms to mid-sized banking and specialty finance companies. Currently, Mark is the CFO of the Brennan Entities, a Las Vegas-based family office with controlling ownership in Dollar Loan Center. He holds an active CPA license and graduated with a BS in Business Administration from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

“I’m honored to take on this leadership role with Heaven Can Wait. It’s an organization with an impressive legacy and important mission in serving our community’s most vulnerable animals and families,” says DeBacker. “Holly Stoberski has done an incredible job guiding the organization in her term as President. I welcome the opportunity to pick up the mantle in serving disenfranchised pets, families, and community cats, along with building new community partnerships, to ensure the continued health, sustainability, and efficacy of Heaven Can Wait.”

Karen Greene, the new Vice President, is an advertising and marketing executive with over 21 years of experience leading creative design team. She is an original volunteer pet foster and grass-roots marketer for the vision that is now Noah’s Animal House Las Vegas and Reno.

Sarah Morris, the new Secretary, is the CEO of Morris Law Center. Sarah is passionate about animal welfare including spaying and neutering, as well as the rescue and adoption of animals in need.

Heaven Can Wait is also pleased to announce several new board members.

Melissa Eure is the President of G.C. Garcia, Inc., a local planning and development services consulting firm. Ms. Eure has lived in the Las Vegas valley since 1991. She is a member of the Husky Huddle and Malamute Mingle, a northern dog breed enthusiasts club devoted to breed awareness and rescue.

Melisa Eichbauer is retail automotive veteran of 16 years, and is proud to be the first female general manager at Findlay Auto Group, having been named to two Forty under Forty lists, and to serve on multiple nonprofit board of directors.
