Who Will Wanda Be When She Isn’t Hurting Anymore?
|
|
|
|
|
When Wanda first came to us, she was a tiny community cat who had recently given birth, with a severely damaged, painful eye. During her initial visit, we spayed her and discovered that her left eye was no longer functioning.
Wanda later returned to us for surgery to remove the painful eye. Thanks to the support of our Community Cat Action Fund, we were able to provide the additional care she needed beyond routine spay & neuter.
Today, Wanda is healing well. At her follow-up appointment, our team found no signs of infection at her surgical site. Her caretaker, Ryan, also shared that she is eating really well at home. She’s still a little wild, but that’s just part of being Wanda.
And what about the two kittens she was believed to be the mother of? They remain with Ryan and are doing well, too.
Wanda’s story is a reminder of what can happen when community cats have access to care when they need it most. We’re so grateful to everyone who helps make that care possible.

You Helped Us Beat the Heat!
|
|
|
Thanks to you, we reached our $14,500 goal to help cover a brand-new AC unit and installation for our clinic!
We are so incredibly grateful to everyone who donated, shared our fundraiser, and helped spread the word. Your generosity is helping us keep our clinic comfortable for the pets, families, community cats, fosters, and our team who walk through our doors every day.
This is what happens when our community comes together. You helped us beat the heat, and we couldn't have done it without you.
Thank you for showing up for us and for the animals we serve.

107 Cats. And Two Unexpected Reunions.
|
A Busy Day With a Happy Surprise
It was a very busy day at the clinic, with 107 cats coming in for spay & neuter and vaccinations: 92 community cats and 15 foster kitties.
But two of those cats had an unexpected story waiting for them.
When our team scanned them for microchips, we found up-to-date information for both cats, which meant we could contact their families.
The first was Georgia, a sweet black kitty who had been missing since April. Thanks to her microchip and current contact information, Georgia was reunited with her family after months apart.
The second was an indoor/outdoor kitty that had only been missing for one night before his microchip helped get him back home!
Two microchips. Two families. Two happy reunions.
Days like this are such a good reminder that microchipping is an important part of foundational care. Collars can come off, but a registered microchip can help connect a lost pet back to the family looking for them.
And in a clinic full of 107 cats, we got to witness a little extra happy magic.

September is Responsible Dog Ownership Month and Happy Healthy Cat Month, making it the perfect time to celebrate the everyday things we can do to help our pets thrive.
Spay & neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, enrichment, safety, and plenty of love all play an important role in helping pets live happy, healthy lives.
And for our community cats, TNVR helps support healthier cats while preventing future litters and reducing pressure on our shelter system.
Whether they have four paws and a favorite couch spot or spend their days exploring the great outdoors, every pet deserves access to the foundational care they need to thrive.
We’re grateful to be part of a community that cares so deeply about pets and the people who love them.
