A Bonded Pair Find Their Way Forward
|
|
These two sweethearts come as a package deal! When Opal and Onyx showed up at their caretaker's door without ear tips, she knew just what to do and brought them straight to us for care.
But get this: Opal is blind and relies on Onyx to help her get around, and we suspect Onyx might even be her kitten. Talk about a bond! After we made sure they were healthy we spayed/neutered (thanks to donors) and vaccinated them, then connected them to Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions. There they found their purrfect furever family together.

Meet Mochi, a Gentle Reminder

|
We don't know what led to this little one being left at our door, but life sometimes brings challenges no one expects. We hope whoever left her is okay and knows she is as well. Thanks to community cat caretaker Magdalena, she was found right away.
If you're ever struggling to care for a pet, please give us a call at 702-655-4800 or check out our Resource Guide. Every pet deserves love and support, and so do the people caring for them.

This Single Mama Has It Handled
|
It started small: a caretaker quietly feeding a couple of community cats found herself overwhelmed and unsure where to turn. So she reached out, and we were there to help.
Now, seven cats from this kind caretaker's area have come to us for spays/neuters and medical care, including a sweet senior female looking for a forever family, and a male tom who was fixed and returned to his outdoor home.
A mama and her litter were also brought in. Mama has been amazing with her babies.
We're so grateful for our donors allowing us to be there for them. The Purrvention Project, with a grant from Rachael Ray Foundation through Best Friends Animal Society, was able to fully cover every spay, neuter, and vaccine!

A $350,000 Reason to Celebrate Prevention
|
We have some wonderful news to share! Heaven Can Wait has been awarded a $350,000 grant from The Mug-Z-Moo Fund to power up our lifesaving spay/neuter efforts across Southern Nevada!
This incredible gift means even more pets throughout our community will have access to care, breaking down barriers to foundational care right when it's needed most. It also strengthens our TNVR work for community cats, and the momentum is already showing! From January through June of this year alone, we've provided more than 3,600 spay/neuter procedures for community cats, with each surgery helping prevent up to 10 kittens from being born into uncertain conditions.
We're endlessly grateful to The Mug-Z-Moo Fund for believing in prevention as much as we do.

Big Things Happened, Thanks to Lowe's!
|
We are bursting with gratitude for our incredible partnership with Lowes at Centennial Hills! After touring our facility and meeting our team, store manager Carlos and his crew saw a golden opportunity to help us create an even better space for the animals and people we serve.
The Lowe's team rolled up their sleeves to transform our community cat condo and our offices, built shelves and cabinets, and equipped us with new tools that help our team work more efficiently every day.

Turn a Ripple into a Wave with DAFs
|
Generous people all across the country are putting their Donor-Advised Funds to work, and we'd love for you to be one of them.
With DAFs, your gift doesn't just make a ripple. It builds into something bigger! With shelters overflowing and an estimated 200,000 community cats calling the Las Vegas valley home, prevention truly is the answer. Every single animal fixed can prevent 10 puppies or kittens from being born into uncertain conditions, and prevent three from ending up in the shelter system. That's the wave of change your DAF gift creates!
