LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Fashion Show Mall was not only a place to shop Saturday, it was also a place to adopt a pet.
It partnered with the Heaven Can Wait Animal Society for pet adoptions.
Those who stopped by got to meet adoptable, rehabilitated dogs as a part of the animal society’s Pups on Parole Program.
The organization said it's important to adopt or even foster a pet.
"Right now, there's a lot of surrendering going on so we can use a lot of fostering and adoption right now. You know, I know a lot of the groups right here, they're not really taking in surrenders because they're overcapacity. So you know it's good to have hey for a week foster a dog," said Kiliey Esperecion, dog coordinator with Heaven Can Wait.
If you missed today's event, the Fashion Show will be hosting more pet adoptions throughout the year.
