Weekday Walk-In Community Cat Clinic

Heaven Can Wait Animal Society is one of the only clinics in Las Vegas serving community cats. We offer a walk-in clinic for community cats on Monday-Thursday, with drop-off between 8:00am-10:30am on Mondays, and 9:30am-10:30am Tuesdays through Thursdays.

These clinics are first come first served. Most often, we have a 75 cat limit on Monday and a 100 cat limit Tuesday through Thursday. These limits may vary based on our availability. Please see the Community Cat Calendar below for each day's limits. Once we reach the limit, we cannot take any more cats in for that day and you will need to return. If you are coming in closer to the end of drop-off time and would like to confirm our current intake that day, or if you have any questions, please call our clinic at 702-655-4800.

Cats MUST be in humane traps. We cannot accept community cats in carriers, boxes, or other containers. Please do not provide food to community cat patients after 9pm the night before surgery. Cats will have their right ear "tipped" to designate that the cat has been sterilized. Community cat surgery fees include a complex rabies (1 year) and 3-in-1 FVRCP vaccination. Fee: $60

Humane Trap Lending Program

Do you see cats around your neighborhood and want to help them? Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR) is the first step - and we can provide you with the traps and instructions to get you started.

Benefits of trapping the cats in your neighborhood:
  • TNR prevents cats from reproducing, meaning fewer cats and kittens living outside.
  • TNR improves cats' health and well-being. Vaccinations prevent the spread of life-threatening illnesses, and spay/neuter surgeries decrease the risk of certain tumors and infections.
  • TNR supports adoption and rescue efforts. With fewer kittens born to community cats overwhelming our shelter and rescues, they can focus more resources on each homeless animal looking for a loving family.
To borrow a trap, please call 702-622-9176 to check availability and schedule pick-up. We will provide instructions on how to trap as well as a trapping kit. Once you trap a cat in need of spay, neuter, and vaccination services, you may bring them to our weekday Community Cat Clinic Monday-Thursday, with drop-off between 8:00am-10:30am on Mondays, and 9:30am-10:30am Tuesdays through Thursdays. We have a 75 cat limit on Monday in which we cannot take any more cats in for that day and you will need to return on Tuesday. There is no limit for Tuesdays through Thursdays. Pick-up will be the same day prior to 5pm.

Please note: We require a $125 deposit to borrow a humane trap and are currently accepting cash.
